St Nicholas' is externally 14th century, while the beautiful interior has features dating from the 12th to the 15th centuries.

The churchyard has a magnificent weeping beech tree (not shown here).

The tall, crocketed  broach spire of St Nichsolas's church makes a fine landmark in the surrounding countryside.

Bench ends in the church are straight headed with crudely cut tracery motifs and, in this instance, a tree.

Pevsner (in his Buildings of England: Lincolnshire) is intrigued by this doorway on the south side of the nave.

It apparently replaced a window, but why is it so ornate?

The south door into St Nicholas's church has one order of colonnettes with bossy leaf capitals and fine moulding in the arch.

The panelled door - with small wicket - is 17th century.
